Investigate the World
During 11th grade, my AP English Language and Composition class had to conduct a year-long essay about certain topics, and I chose the topic of human trafficking. In the beginning of this synthesis essay, the students created questions about the topic, and later grouped them into six categories. Each category would then help in organizing the 15-page essay. This project required me to investigate the world as human trafficking is a global issue that not many people are aware of or concerned about. I investigated the world because I dug deeper into this issue and its roots, which is prevalent in low income communities around the world.
