Investigate the World
During 11th grade, my Chemistry class had to create a foldable with the information of the history of tie dye, process of absorption, different types of mixtures, solutions, substances, and diffusion and chromatography. In addition to this foldable, we were also able to create tie dye shirts. This project enabled me to investigate the world because I discovered that tie dye methods were present way back in the early centuries in India, Japan, and Africa. Furthermore, I investigated the world through science by learning and uncovering information about absorption, mixtures, solutions, substances, diffusion, and chromatography. The creation of the tie dye shirt allowed me to investigate the world by seeing the different ways and designs to “color” the shirt.
